Honesto Sotto Dino
May 7, 1928 – March 6, 2021
On March 6th, 2021, Honesto Sotto Dino passed away at the age of 92 from complications of Covid 19. Known as "Tony" to colleagues and "Pop" to his kids, Honesto was a devoted father and grandfather who was loved by relatives and friends across Canada, the US, and the Philippines.
Throughout his long life, Honesto remained independent, proud, and strong. Well after his retirement, he maintained his equine hobbies, social activities, church duties, and his independent lifestyle, all with the typical humour, optimism, and warmth for which he was known.
Honesto's life was one of loyalty and devotion. For over ten years, he committed himself to caring for his wife at home, after she was incapacitated by a stroke. Later, he ensured that his grandkids' college and university educations were completely paid for. He was also a devoted member of the Catholic Church, both as a member of the Knights of Columbus, and with the Seat of Wisdom Cenacle Marian Movement of Priests.
His family, children, and grandchildren were a great source of joy to him. He will be dearly missed by his sons Val (Laura) and Bill (Jackie), his daughter Grace (John), his granddaughter Heather, and his grandson Mitchell.
He is interred at Oceanview Cemetery in Burnaby, BC, next to his wife Rosie, and his son Victor.
